Stained glass embraces the sunlight and cascades down radiant images of faith. No matter how dark the night, the day will dawn, renewing the Lord's promise of mercy and rewarding those that hope in Him. I began to reminisce about all the little chapels I have visited over the years and I began to imagine a sunlit day that would fully embody the promise of a merciful God, and Stained Glass Chapel is the final result. On such a glorious day, we are reminded that while God is an inspirational Creator, He also wants to be comfortably approachable. I wanted the colors to suggest the radiance of God's love. Rising clouds illuminated by the sun announcing a day full of hope, beauty, and new discoveries. The chapel becomes a comfortable place to meditate or pray. The landscape is also symbolic. The large rock suggests the bedrock of faith. The cardinal is also another familiar symbol of the Christian faith. The distant mountains that flow into the far horizon and feed winding rivers suggest the sacredness of time passing. Stained Glass Chapel is an inspiration that can comfort us following even the darkest night.
