I wanted to paint a place so quiet you could hear the silence, a beautiful place that is reminiscent of Monument Valley around Utah and Arizona that captures the American West. The mountains rise like God's cathedrals and speak of God's majesty. A perfect place for a cowboy to ride off to and hear from God. Many times we need divine direction and have to make a decision. As I was painting this I was facing a time in my own life where I had to make several decisions that would change the course of my life and ministry. It is a place where passion and destiny meet and the journey becomes one of faith and adventure.
